Do you worry about climate change and get overwhelmed with all the information provided? Then you’re not alone


In 2025 60% of people in the UK said that climate change has had a negative impact on their mental health and wellbeing. For 16- to 24-year-olds, the figure was 73%

Climate anxiety can affect everyday life and decisions for people. You might be stressed and have fears and worries about the future of the planet and feelings of hopelessness, sadness and depression, anxiety or laying awake at night ruminating about what is happening in the world.


The sheer scale of climate change can feel so overwhelming that people look for ways to avoid thinking about it. It can feel isolating and as if your overreaching, especially when you do feel anxious and want to talk about it. Others may get defensive or say everything will be OK and to stop worrying.
